community service
Each year, many of our partners and staff donate their time, talent, and dollars to charitable organizations. Partnering with other business organizations, not-for-profits, and community leaders, PwC also channels financial, in-kind, volunteer, and professional resources into the communities where our employees work and live.

Our recent community service efforts include:
  • Partnering with Junior Achievement to teach elementary school kids about basic business concepts, such as banking and opening a restaurant. Volunteers from PwC San Francisco visited classrooms in the community, armed with teaching tools provided by Junior Achievement.

  • A longstanding and firm-wide commitment to the United Way. Through individual contributions and allocations, our funds benefit more than 45,000 agencies and chapters across the country.

  • Support and participation in Habitat for Humanity construction projects. In recent years, more than 200 PwC employees have contributed their sweat equity to provide housing opportunities for deserving families.

  • Hosting Job Ready! workshops for the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta. PwC volunteers held interactive sessions for middle and high school students to help them prepare for entering the work force.

  • Hosting career-development lectures and presentations for high school students. As part of the Explorer Post Program, PwC volunteers in New York help students gain insight into a career field of their choice, and develop a road map that may broaden their employment opportunities.

  • Walking 25 blocks around the Mall in Washington, DC in the Fannie Mae Foundation's Help the Homeless Walkathon. A PwC Team of 180 employees, friends and family joined about 40,000 participants in their efforts to raise money for the Washington area's homeless.
