The Power of Commitment
The local chapters of the United Way share a single mission: to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another. Through a vast network of volunteers and community service agencies across the U.S., the United Way addresses the health and human care needs of millions of people every day. And PwC has had a longstanding commitment to help in every way.
Through the personal efforts of our partners and employees, PwC was able to raise over $750,000 in 2001 for the United Way. This achievement ranked us in the top 5 among the United Way National Corporate Leadership Companies, which include United Parcel Service, JP Morgan Chase & Company, and FedEx. In fact, PwC was the leading Big Five accounting firm contributor in terms of financial contributions and total participants. Our partners and staff also spend thousands of hours serving numerous charitable organizations with their time and talent. The United Way helps us further leverage this commitment.
