Julie, Manager Assurance & Business Advisory Services

Assignment: Audit and advise a global investment management firm out of their London offices.

									Where: London

									London calling
"My primary client is one of the largest money managers in the world and a major index investment manager. They have a large, full-service office in London, and I had the opportunity to spend two years working with the client there, and also as part of our UK Investment Management Group."

									Long weekends
"I traveled around all the time - on average at least once a month for a long weekend. London was a nice hub to go to places that had been beyond reach. Stockholm. Dubai. I don't think you can ever have too much vacation."

									Networking
"Once you're overseas you find that most ex-pats have the same reasons for being there as you do. I made friends with people from all over the world, and met some fantastic coworkers. I now have constant contact with our people in London."

									Royal treatment
"While in London, I was asked to help out on a job in Monte Carlo. I only needed to be there two days, so I arranged to spend the weekend in Monaco. Our client, a wealthy family, had a helicopter shuttle me from their offices to the Nice airport to catch my flight. I felt like a celebrity."

									PwC abroad
"The hub for my practice is London. New York is also a major player, but London is the global center for investment management. When you're in that industry in the U.K., the perception of PwC is very global."
